WHAT ARE THE 20 MOST DENSELY POPULATED COUNTRIES?

Screenshot (3).png

WHICH OF THESE ARE POOR? WHICH ARE WEALTHY?

The majority of these countries are in good financial standing. Specifically Monaco and Macau, who have the 1st and 3rd highest GDP per capita in the world. However, some countries such as Bangladesh and Palestine have a relatively low GDP per capita.

TO WHAT EXTENT HAS POPULATION DENSITY CONTRIBUTED TO PROSPERITY OR POVERTY IN THESE COUNTRIES?

In general, it seems that population density has greatly contributed to the prosperity in most, but also poverty in others. In a country like Monaco, whose GDP is the highest in the world, their population density is most likely a large contributor to their success. They have a small population of 38,000 but also the 2nd smallest geographical country in the world. This means they essentially don’t have to spend as much money to keep things going when compared to a larger country, with complex geography. On the other hand, a country like Bangladesh whose GDP per capita is among the worst in the world who has a population of 166,222,788 and a larger geographical country has many more “mouths to feed” and much more land to tend to, forcing them to spend more money
